　　SCHEDULE: Day &Evening | Every other Weekend and Holiday Rotation

　　ATTRIBUTES

　　Bachelor's in Medical Technology or Bachelor's in related Science recognized by NYS department of educationNYS Licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist requiredCertification by American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) preferred, but not required.Ability to work independently and on a teamExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsRESPONSIBILITIES

　　Lab Management. Perform specialized and complex diagnostic procedures; accurately prepare reagents and maintain proper inventory of laboratory section supplies; interpret and correlate clinical test results with patient history, diagnosis and clinical condition in order to explain test results; communicate stat and critical lab results; perform quality control, routine and advanced maintenance and instrument troubleshooting Technical Knowledge. Maintain knowledge of required computer functions associated with testing and to assist in completing testing and workflow management; may conduct research and development of new or updated technologies and provide written evaluation to supervisorLeadership. Assist in training new and existing employees on new procedures and instrumentation; act as a technical consultant to technologists, technicians and/or students rotating through their area; teach in the School of Medical Technology and Lab rotations as needed

　　PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.

　　PAY RANGE: $33.00 - $40.00

　　The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
