Position Overview
In this role as a Cyber Specialist, you will assist in the assessment of theDoD cyber policies, the coverage of those policies, and areas of risks.
What You'll Be Doing:
You will be responsible for evaluating and auditing how policies stack up toregulations, best practices, and industry standards. As you guide yourclient through understanding acceptable risk and availability, you willadvance the development of a strategic cyber roadmap. You will work in aconsultative role to ensure the client operates securely as they navigate anevolving IT environment.
Required Education/Experience:
10+ years of experience in Information Technology (IT)5+ years of experience Information Assurance Management (IAM)2+ years System Administration and configuration experience2+ years of IAM experience in the DoD EnvironmentActive Secret ClearanceDoD 8570 Information Assurance Management (IAM-II) Certification
Required Skills and Abilities:
Dedicated experience (2 or more years desired) using Enterprise MissionAssurance Support Service (eMASS) within the DoDDedicated experience (2 or more years desired) in developing authorizationpackages for DoD systemsUnix/Linux/Windows System administration, DoD Secure host Baseline,Cisco switches and routers, or boundary defenses technologiesKnowledge of cybersecurity policy, system procedures, and networking in anEnterprise environment to review controls and package artifacts for validityKnowledge of cybersecurity policy, procedures, and workforce structure todevelop, implement, and maintain a secure systemKnowledge of Information System Security Manager (ISSM) Roles andResponsibilities and the DoD assessment and authorization processAbility to review policies and procedures for the network and EnclaveEnvironment that align to DoD directivesAbility to lead the assessment of artifacts and guide the authorization ofsystems to authorization either independently or as a team
Desired Skills and Abilities:
Support the development of the Event Cybersecurity plans and associatedauthorization for MDA exercises and wargames.Applies consulting skills and/or technical expertise, full industry knowledge.Ability to handle multiple projects at once. Reporting to leadership ontimelines and security concerns.Works without considerable direction.
