Key duties encompass the regular updating of the curriculum, creation of dynamic courses, and provision of student support, both in group settings and one-on-one. Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual communication, or a related field, and demonstrated in-depth knowledge of graphic design principles and software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), and other relevant tools. Experience in graphic design and a portfolio that showcases the instructor's graphic design skills and projects is essential. Candidates with a Master's degree in graphic design, visual communication, or a related field, teaching certifications or relevant educational training, and teaching experience in a college or continuing education setting will be given preference.Pay, Benefits & Work ScheduleAdjunct Professor is typically assigned as needed on a quarterly basis, with no expectation of continued employment beyond the current appointment.Compensation is $40.41 - $80.00 per hour. Individuals newly hired to Adjunct Professor group at the college are placed at the minimum rate per union bargaining agreement. Certain positions may also be eligible for assignment/project-based additional compensation, including a High Demand Stipend up to $8,350 annually, prorated based on the discipline and duration of the assignment.
