Description
Our client is a leading health insurance provider looking to add a Medical Records Abstractor to their team!
Responsibilities:
Visit healthcare providers' offices to abstract and collect medical records in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Ensure the accurate and complete extraction of relevant medical information from patient records.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to obtain necessary documentation for claims processing and analysis.
Maintain a high level of confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations during the record abstraction process.
Compile and organize abstracted medical records for submission to the insurance company.
Work closely with internal teams to resolve any discrepancies or missing information in the records.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
Prior experience in healthcare operations, medical record retrieval, or provider outreach is preferred.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately review and analyze medical records.
Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation processes.
Proficiency in using technology platforms and software for data entry and record management.
