Description:
The main duty for this role is to reprocess old claims for 1 specific provider.
• Review and verify accuracy of medical claims and invoices submitted by healthcare providers
• Enter billing and payment information into electronic systems
• Ensure all billing and payment information complies with insurance regulations and coding standards
• Follow up with insurance companies and patients to resolve payment issues and disputes
• Communicate with healthcare providers and patients regarding billing and payment questions and concerns
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of billing and payment transactions
• Keep up-to-date with changes in medical billing regulations and coding systems
Skills:
medical billing, claims, collections, accounts receivable
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in healthcare or related field preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing or healthcare administration
• Proficiency in using electronic medical billing software and Microsoft Office
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
