ProfessionalTime Type:Full timePosition Term:12 MonthPosition Details:Summary of Duties:We are seeking an Administrative Manager for the Department of Plant Pathology. Plant Pathology has 14-tenure/tenure track faculty, 19 non-tenure track faculty, and 13 active USDA adjunct faculty located at 4 locations across the state and at the Pullman campus. The successful candidate must be able to manage multiple concurrent deadlines and have exceptional attention to detail. This position is responsible for managing the administrative functions of the department. The position also takes leadership and management in the day-to-day services of the department.• Plan, direct and oversee the budgeting, and fiscal management processes across diverse accounts including state, federal, extension, gift, scholarship, departmental, and commodities accounts.• Serve as the principal advisor to the chair and organizer of information to be shared with department chair, college, faculty, and staff.• Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable, auditing, fiscal analysis, and fiscal reporting.• Coordinate actions regarding recruiting, hiring, and onboarding new employees.• Oversee supervisory duties for temporary employees.• Assist the chair in short-term and long-term budget planning efforts.Required Qualifications:• Positions require a Bachelor's Degree in a related field and four (4) years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified which has included at least one (1) year of supervisory experience. A Master's degree in a related field may substitute for one (1) year of professional work experience.
