This is a benefited, full time position (72 hours every 2 weeks) working 12-hr shifts on a varied schedule. Shifts are generally 7am-7:30pm or 7pm-7:30am. Start times may vary. Located at Scripps Clinic – Torrey Pines in La Jolla.

The ideal candidate for our Urgent Care department at the Torrey Pines Clinic is someone who is adaptable and works well in a team oriented environment. Someone who can take initiative and be an effective communicator is going to thrive as you continue to grow your skills and knowledge in this teaching environment. Primary responsibilities will include both front and back office duties, point of care testing, EKGs, medication passes, and responding to medical emergencies.

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:

Completion of a formal Medical Assistant Program, or Medical Assistance Certification, or a minimum of two years of experience as a military corpsmanRequired Certification/Registration:

BLS certification for the Healthcare Provider by the American Heart Association (AHA)Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:
