Job Description
The Human Resources Manager’s principal mission is to provide expert advice on employee benefits, support the Director of Human Resources and Assistant Director of Human Resources in employee relations, support the Training Manager and Recruitment Manager during peak times, and partner with operations to create a rewarding culture for our Associates.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Manage the return to work (Workers Comp) reporting and documentation program.
Complete the Annual Benefits Enrollment process for Non-Union Associates, ensuring timely and accurate enrollment information is disseminated and Associates benefit selections are processed according to Omni standards.
Educate Associates about their benefits options. Create training, reference material and guides as needed.
Administration of all Non-Union Benefits Plans, including, Medical, Dental, Vision, Life and AD&D, LTD, Flexible Spending, & 401 K plans
Manage all aspects of Leave of Absences, including FMLA, Non-FMLA and Personal Leaves in compliance with Federal and State laws company policy.
Ensure Managers and Associates are appropriately educated about the processes for requesting, approving, processing and updating the status of leaves of absence.
Be aware of all relevant laws and pending legislation as it relates to leaves.
Ensure the Resort continuously updates its policies and approaches towards leave to incorporate new laws and regulations and to add efficiencies
Work with Associates and their Managers to ensure disability and workplace accommodation requests are evaluated, processed and implemented
Ensure our Associates and leaders are educated about workplace accommodations.
Evaluate jobs and duties as needed and according to the interactive process to make determinations about workplace accommodations. Make informed recommendations.
Ensure that Associates are connected as needed or as helpful to resources to help them in their times of need, either utilizing the company’s charitable giving program or outside resources.
Input Promotions and Transfers in Ultipro
Support Loss Prevention by being an active partner in Safety Meetings and initiatives.
Maintain all Associate Service Center standards.
Support the recruitment team during peak recruitment seasons with:
Providing any necessary training or best practices in regards to OFCCP Reporting
Providing any necessary training or best practices in regards to creating the Annual Staffing Guide
Participating in Job Fairs both locally, in other states or internationally as needed
Completing interviews, references, auditing ultipro and employee files as needed
Support the HR Director and Assistant HR Director by developing strategies and plans for ensuring compliance with the:
ASC Assessment
ASC Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
Yearly Financial Audit of ASC
Implementing new directives from the Omni Service Center at the local level
Support the HR Director and Assistant HR Director by conducting associate disciplinary and harassment investigations thoroughly documenting the issues, timelines, concerns and relevant facts. At all times, consider and protect the business and legal interests of Omni while ensuring the dignity and respect of Associates. Maintain confidentiality. Make recommendations for action.
Comply with state, federal and local laws. Ensure compliance of the hotel and department. Thoroughly understand the law especially as it pertains to payroll, time and attendance, exempt/non-exempt regulations, federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, OSHA and safety.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required.
Minimum of five years' experience in a Human Resources leadership role (generalist, benefits, recruitment or training)
Human Resources experience within a large resort strongly preferred
Able to communicate effectively with leadership and associates
Working environment is predominantly indoor office with opportunity to occasionally work both indoor and outdoor across the resort.
