Purpose:
Evaluate, select, and apply standard mechanical engineering techniques,procedures, and criteria on moderately complex projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Direction:
Receive general instruction on key objectives for execution. Receivedirection as needed, and especially complex assignments, modifiedtechniques, and new approaches on assignments with conflictingcriteria. Work is completed using advanced engineering techniquesand design principles and is reviewed by more senior staff to ensureapplication of sound professional judgement. Review work produced byjunior staff for quality assurance.At the Operational and Company Level:
May assist senior level staff or management with clients andagencies; subcontractors, and design teams on moderately complexproject issues.Do the Work:
Provide quality Mechanical Engineering reports, calculations,figures, design drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.Assist to complete work within budget and time schedules, ensurecompliance to applicable codes, accepted engineering practices andClient and company standards.Work with field survey staff and CAD and Plant 3D Design staff.May assist with site visits that include construction oversight andinspections.Success Metrics and Competencies:

Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field)required.Three or more (3+)years of experience in Design, Planning andImplementation of Mechanical Design Projects including Plans,Specifications and Engineer estimates.Experience in Mineral Process Plant Design (e.g. SX/EM,Carbon-in-leach, Merrill-Crowe, Crushers, Conveyors, Pumps andPiping Systems, etc.).Experience with AutoCAD, Plant 3D, Navis Works and Fathom.Physical Demands and Working Environment:
