Mechanical Engineer (full-time, one opening) L&T Technology Services Ltd. is in need of a Mechanical Engineer in Edison, NJ and various unanticipated locations throughout the US to establish and evaluate structural design concepts for industrial products, off-highway, oil & gas downhole and surface equipment. Provide mechanical support for design, fabrication, modification, and evaluation of parts, assemblies, components, sub-assemblies, tooling, and final products. Support development team to provide innovative design and manufacturing solutions, mechanical cost reduction ideas, structural concept designing through CAD modelling, and manufacturing drawings. Must have a Bachelor’s Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or related field, plus two years of engineering experience. The two years of engineering experience must include one year of experience using SolidWorks, CATIA, Unigraphics (now NX), Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), SAP, and VBA. In lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree (or foreign equivalent), we will accept a Bachelor’s Degree (or foreign equivalent) earned through any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience, as determined by a professional evaluation service. All experience may be acquired concurrently. Travel and relocation required. International travel is not required. Travel will be required up to approximately 10% of the time. Travel will include trips to various L&T Technology Services Limited’s facilities as well as client facilities across the U.S. Travel based on business needs and may be required to physically examine prototypes as well to review designs for calculation or monitoring purposes.
