　　As a key member of the Wabtec Control Systems team, the purpose of the Assistant Mechanical Engineer is to provide technical support in relation to design, checking and validating mechanical signalling systems and equipment in accordance with statutory, regulatory, company and client standards.

　　Duties and Responsibilities

　　Promote and ensure the highest standards of health, safety and environmental mananagement systems are implemented and adhered to.

　　Supporting the collective learning of the organisation.

　　Ensure that the mechanical systems and equipment designs are in accordance with accepted signalling standards, safe working principals, statutory and regulatory requirements and quality processes.

　　Undertake technical reviews, investigations and inspections where required.

　　Check and verification of mechanical signalling documentation and data where required.

　　Provide technical support for signalling mechanical projects as required.

　　Verify and control status of designs produced by consultants and subcontractors.

　　Qualifications and Skills

　　University studies in Engineering or equivalent.

　　Australian mechanical signalling design experience.
