Duties and Responsibilities
Reports directly to the shift supervisor.
Must complete Forklift Training and be an Inteplast Licensed Operator.
Operate the forklift in a safe manner to prevent accidents or damage to equipment.
At shift start performs safety inspection on forklift prior to use.
Weigh all scrap pallets sitting on the lines to verify that weight is correct.
Wrap all finished product skids and put away in the warehouse.
Should start each shift recording what materials will be needed for the day.
Ensure that lines are always stocked with correct packaging materials.
Responsible for putting away all un-used packaging material at the end of each order.
Check on and dump the fluff bins and all trash dumpsters within the first few hours of the shift.
Collect scrap baskets just before the end of shift change, or as needed through-out the shift, and ensure that all scrap has been weighed and is documented properly on the shift reports.
Keep the packaging areas organized by bringing just what is needed for the current order.
Ensure all pallets are scanned into the warehouse. * If you stack them in order you will know when one is missing or you have two of the same number.
Ensure all expended raw materials are cleaned up properly during your shift. i.e empty Gaylords broken down and put away, empty super sacks disposed of properly.
