About Marketing Automation Lead

  Your team responsibilities

  The VP, Digital Marketing Automation will lead a team of Digital Marketing (Journey) Automation Managers focused on driving growth through optimized acquisition, cross-sell, and retention programs.

  Informed by MSCI strategy - this candidate will be responsible for orchestrating automated journeys and innovation across critical delivery channels including email, social, and/or others. They will also be responsible for the overall health of the channels and programs.

  This position plays a critical role in driving growth for MSCI across lines of business, and by achieving this, moving the marketing function from a support to a growth catalyst in the organization.

  The ideal candidate will be a digital marketing and automation expert with proven experience in managing automation tools, platforms, and programs (campaigns) delivering results and building credibility across the organization.

  Reporting to the Head of Digital Marketing Experience, who reports into the Chief Marketing Officer, this individual will be joining an organization that is growing at an extraordinary pace driven by product innovation and expansion of client use cases. The marketing and communications organization is a key player in driving the company ambitious growth plans and as such plays a key role in the company strategy definition and implementation. He / she will partner with the Digital Marketing, Product Marketing, Brand, and Content teams across several locations.

  Your key responsibilities

  Management of the the marketing automation team by distributing campaign and project work, determining key deadlines, monitoring deliverables and providing guidance in order to achieve strategic goals as well as personal development Management of automation tools and email platform Responsible for channel health and performance Identify opportunities to enhance MSCI's technological capabilities for the marketing automation function and collaborate with other internal functions (procurement, technology, IT security etc.) on implementation Own the email marketing editorial calendar in order to coordinate the priorities, timing and audiences of MSCI's email campaign output Provide consultation to internal stakeholders on the best approach to strategic as well as campaign initiatives, including segmentation, engagement-based approach, campaign elements, messaging & assets, tracking & analytics Increase relevance of content and elevate client experience by driving audience segmentation, applying differentiated & personalized messaging, and by introducing advanced marketing automation and nurture programs Collaborate with sales enablement to drive lead generation and nurturing in order to improve lead quality and shorten the sales lifecycle Stay on top of the engagement trends and KPIs of the email channel overall, and its key publications individually, in order to identify opportunities for testing and launching new approaches, and call out and stop practices with a negative impact Define and maintain MSCI's external email template family (marketing, transactional, operational, event admin), applying latest industry trends and solutions, maintaining standards of consistency and alignment to the most recent branding requirements, and ensuring the best deliverability of emails according to the latest consumption trends of MSCI's email audience Work in close collaboration with MSCI's legal and privacy teams on updates required to MSCI's processes or policies driven by changes in the legal or regulatory landscape Own and maintain MSCI's official internal marketing guidelines for email, event and data privacy regulations, manage incoming inquiries from internal stakeholders, and enforce overall and case-by-case compliance Serves as owner of MSCI's marketing automation platform, including keeping contact with MSCI's account and product managers, and supervising incident management

  Your skills and experience that will help you excel

  7+ years of B2B marketing automation strategy and practice with special focus on the email channel Team leadership skills including coordination, delegation, feedback, guidance, team building and engagement Strategic approach to defining team goals and objectives and evaluating results Data driven mindset, with proven ability to rely on numbers to tell a compelling story and build a business case Experience in project management focusing on implementation of new technologies and integrations Solid knowledge of html coding (email developer experience preferred) including table structures, CSS and inline styling Knowledge of CRM marketing automation platforms, with Salesforce and Pardot strongly preferred Experience with Google Analytics and PowerBI or similar reporting and data visualization platforms Familiarity with latest email marketing trends, legal and data privacy regulations and industry best practices
