REPORTS TO: Director of Plant Engineering
Job Description: This position is responsible for the monitoring and improvement of manufacturing and engineering processes. Process Technicians will work alongside Process Engineers to implement designs that allow them to use materials, equipment, and personnel as effectively as possible. They will be responsible of preparing equipment and machinery layouts as well as planning workflows to reduce production costs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Observe workers to make sure that all equipment is being used properly and maintained to the correct standards.
Evaluate and analyze any resulting data to find ways to improve efficiency and quality
Develop and provide support to process engineers to improve processes that already exist
Qualification of new processes, including documentation, training and certification of production operators/technicians
Familiar with RCFA, Process Flow, capacity planning, and other engineering related tools
Assist in the development and coordination of technical training programs for direct and indirect labor, including orientation, process changes and updates and any other technical training needs
Work independently with moderate supervision and deliver excellent results on time
Communicates well with customers, supervisors, engineers, production control, quality, and other personnel
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or general education degree (GED) is required, Some postsecondary education desired
Critical thinking ability
General mechanical aptitude
Basic AutoCad experience
Experience in a manufacturing setting mandatory
Must possess effective written, verbal, and oral communication skills
Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
Willing to work flexible shifts and change work schedules to support production
