The Parts Shipper/Receiver/Warehouse position is responsible for processing incoming and outgoing freight through unloading, loading, verifying, and storing shipments along with maintaining the Parts Department warehouse. Position is also backup for Parts Runner.
DUTIES:
PROCESSES PRODUCTS RECEIVED
checking in all inbound freight
inspecting condition of items; comparing count/measure of items to purchase order and packing list; noting discrepancies
checking in and warehousing all incoming stock orders
informing shipper and transporter of damage of shortage; returning damaged items; requesting new items or credit for shortages
PROCESSES OUTBOUND ORDERS
assembling, packing, protecting, and labeling container
examining items to be shipped, destination, route, rate, and time of shipment
recording identifying information of items and transport information
add freight charges to incomplete orders in EBS to ensure freight is not lost when new ticket generates
MAINTAINS WAREHOUSE
cleaning and straightening parts storage bins
ensuring parts are in proper locations
keeping warehouse neat and orderly
replenishing stock for road service vans within 24-36 hrs
check incomplete shelves daily, advising parts counter salespersons of any
order open for more than 7 days for follow up
perform routine bin checks on a weekly basis: one aisle per week
MAINTAINS RECORDS/PERFORMS ACCOUNTS PAYABLE FUNCTIONS
maintaining inventory reports as designated by supervisor
maintaining core log
maintaining shipping file and turning in all frt bills at days end to ensure that all frt is charged out
coding and processing misc. invoices
matching receivers with misc. invoices
QUALIFICATIONS: Must be able to fulfill essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner
Required Skills/Experience
minimum 21 years of age
safe driving record
above average computer skills
above average communication skills
ability to read
ability to work independently with minimal supervision
ability to accomplish duties with accuracy and timeliness
ability to successfully complete required operational training for material handling equipment
EDUCATION
High school diploma or equivalent
Physical Demands/Environmental Conditions:
This position will be working indoors and outdoors in the movement of parts freight. The employee will encounter varying weather conditions and temperatures. This position may be required to drive to various customer/vendor locations. The normal auto hazards will apply.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Occasionally may be required to lift items weighing up to 100 pounds. Must be able to push/pull up to 40 pounds, occasionally up to 100 pounds.
Position requires sitting, standing, walking, twisting, and climbing.
Position requires bending, stooping, kneeling or squatting handling/fingering and outward reaching on a daily basis.
Position requires frequent use of various types of material handling equipment.
Position requires occasional use of ladders.
Position may require driving truck to and from customer locations.
Must be able to wear safety glasses and safety shoes.
Must be medically capable of performing all aspects of the job with the maximum amount of safety. (Initial hire requires passing of pre-employment background check, physical abilities test, drug test and driving record).
This position is deemed a Safety Sensitive job for purposes of the Arkansas Medical Marijuana Amendment, the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana and Patient Protection Act and the Louisiana Therapeutic Marijuana Act.
