Boeing Ukraine Engineering & Technology Center is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Team Lead to be responsible for Production & Industrial Engineering Fabrication Manufacturing Engineering (ME) work statements for commercial airplane programs.
The candidate will lead teams of Manufacturing Engineers/Planners in Boeing Engineering & Technology Centers in Ukraine and Poland.
Primary Responsibilities:
Coordinates and implements new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies and concepts.
Validates and ensures production readiness of solutions to complex problems, supports research of new product or business opportunities.
Leads development and implements manufacturing plans. Resolves technical problems that would significantly affect performance, cost or schedule.
Develops, identifies and implements conceptual designs and maintains the program architecture for build.
Develops and implements cost effective and improved processes for Lean production and tooling methodologies. As a member of an integrated product team, integrates technical solutions to ensure process and product reliability.
Implements Lean principles and technologies. Improves product development and execution performance.
Conducts complex producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches requirements.
Assesses process capabilities on the product definition at a team level. Assesses design features for feasibility of manufacturing processes and reviews geometric dimensioning and tolerance for manufacturing capabilities.
Create a base line for continuous improvement and confirms that design features are compatible with selected manufacturing processes.
Assists in providing input to the program plan to ensure that producibility activities and deliverables are incorporated.
Assists in providing resource estimates for producibility functions to the team leader.
Organizes, prioritizes, schedules and assign ME packages to team members.
Checks daily/weekly work progress against schedules.
Ensures compliance with contractual, operational, and regulatory requirements.
Ensures on-time delivery and high-quality standards of work performed by the team.
Foresees and prevents potential conflicts and risks associated with package completion.
Provides guidance to others through structured mentoring.
Develops training plans for team members.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):
1+ years’ experience leading engineering teams in a formal and/or informal leadership role
3+ years’ experience working with multiple groups, teams or organizations in a quality / manufacturing environment for continuous improvement initiatives
3+ years’ working experience in aerospace, fabrication or manufacturing environment
Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering or equivalent acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering
Fluent English, Ukrainian language would be an asset
Existing rights to work in Ukraine
Preferred Qualifications/Desired Skills (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience leading, coaching and developing early career engineers
Experience in cross-functional leadership, collaborative problem solving, building lasting relationships & proficiency in written and verbal communication
Proficient experience in manufacturing processes and issues
Experience working on and being the engineering lead/focal in a multi-disciplined team with interaction with suppliers and customers
Experience using analytical, collaboration, communication and organizational skills
Experience in customer-facing, or equivalent experience

Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Ph.D., Master+3 years' related work experience).
