　　This Engineering internship position will work with the Avionics Advanced Manufacturing team in the Cedar Rapids, IA facility. This position is for an engineering student interested in learning engineering principles used in manufacturing. If selected, the employee will become familiar with Industry 4.0 implementation and state of the art manufacturing techniques used to improve the production process. This position is full-time, Monday-Friday, and will run May/June-August; it is only eligible for current students with a graduation date past August 2024.

　　Primary Responsibilities:

　　Designs and plans layout for Smart factory assembly and materials handling equipment

　　Will gain knowledge about IIOT (Industrial Internet of Things) and how it can be used to optimize existing manufacturing processes

　　Identify use cases for new technology manufacturing tools and machines.

　　Integrates equipment to factory and production workflows.

　　Participates and may help plan sequence of operations and specification procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance.

　　Will assist in providing guidance for engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.

　　Analysis of various manufacturing data; i.e. Work In Process (WIP), Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), and Statistical Process Control (SPC)

　　Understand how to use the mass amount of data collected from Smart Factory solutions.

　　Basic Qualifications:

　　Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.

　　U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

　　Preferred Qualifications:

　　Excel, Word, PowerPoint

　　Ability to work independently and take direction from others

　　Knowledge of Lean principles and concepts

　　Experience in developing and delivering presentations

　　The salary range for this role is 52,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
