Manual and Hydraulic Tool Grinding Machinist responsibilities and duties:
Set up and operate precision grinding equipment to produce machined parts
Ability to work with management and the engineering department to effectively execute in-house tooling and design for manufacturing.
Must be able to read and understand part prints, sketches, drawings, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
Must have the ability to identify and verify conformance of finished workpiece to customer or internal specifications.
Responsible for the selection of tooling and fixtures pertaining to the grinding operation.
Responsible for the inspection of parts for quality and appropriate tolerance using measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and comparators, or other inspection equipment.
Ability to work on teams to provide necessary information to manufacturing team, engineering, quality, logistics, project management, or others to document procedures and drawings.
MANUAL AND HYDRAULIC Tool Grinding Machinist Skills:
Must be able to demonstrate a proficient knowledge of Manual and Hydraulic Grinders.
Must be able to demonstrate a proficient knowledge of blueprints interpretation, key process parameters and SPC data acquisition.
5+ years grinding experience. Salary is based on experence.
