This is a job for a Manager, Working Capital Support position with a company located in the New Orleans, LA area.
JOB FUNCTION / SUMMARY: Manager, Working Capital Support is primarily responsible for monitoring the risk in revolving lines of credit supported by Accounts Receivable and/or Inventory as collateral. The risk is monitored by completing collateral field exams to determine the risk in the collateral and monitoring a portfolio of these loans through the submission of periodic borrowing base certificate and supporting documentation. This position also provides advice in underwriting these loans to the relationship managers, portfolio managers and management of the bank to mitigate the risk in the collateral.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage the operations of the Working Capital Support Department. Partners with Field Examiners to schedule collateral field exams. Provides guidance and assistance to staff regarding field exam situations and to make sure the exam reports are completed timely. Ensures field examination reports provided to Relationship Managers and bank management are clear, concise and professionally written. Ensure that a relationship manager written response is provided for all field exams which noted an issue. Provides clients with constructive feedback regarding information observed and discovered during course of the field examination. Provides assistance to department staff in making decisions as to when to advance funds with the use of the borrowing base certificate which examines the company's working capital collateral position and to properly secure the total outstanding line of credit as determined by the language in the Loan Agreement. Provide management reporting to make sure borrowing base certificates are timely. Advises bank management and relationship manages on proper underwriting to make sound working capital loans. Manages the department capital and operating budget, track expenses and reports budget variances. Responsible for controlling operating and administration expenses. Develops, implements, and revises objectives, policies, and procedures for the department and its functions. Actively participates in professional organizations to build and maintain a network of professional contacts, to continue professional education and to promote the bank.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, procedures and applicable laws; Provides guidance and oversight to and is responsible for the coordination and evaluation of the assigned team. Responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring and training associates; planning, assigning and directing work; performance management; associate compensation; approving expense reports; addressing concerns and resolving problems.
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE: Bachelor's degree preferably in Accounting or Finance. Seven (7) years experience in Asset Based Lending and accounting practices required. Two (2) years supervisory or managerial experience required. Completion of Secured Finance Network's "Field Examiners School" or equivalent required. Certified Pubic Accountant designation is preferred. An equivalent combination of training, experience and education may be considered.

Ability to operate related equipment to perform the essential job functions. Ability to read and interpret a document if required to perform the essential job functions. Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 10 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions.
