　　The Privacy Engineering organization is dedicated to ensuring safe & efficient data use across Netflix, and the Privacy Engineering Operations team plays a key role in this mission. We work closely with our stunning colleagues in Legal in providing privacy engineering guidance, support and assurance throughout the company. Our engagements are tailored for each business area and we have a front row seat to new product plans and features on the core streaming product and other areas such as Advertising, Games and Live. The team also manages major cross-functional Privacy Programs spanning across the entire Netflix ecosystem, covering topics such as data subject rights. Our tremendous impact is accomplished through guidance and context, not mandates, and collaborative mindset is critical to our success.

　　The Role

　　We are looking for a Manager to lead the Privacy Engineering Operations team. In this role you will own the vision, strategy and outcomes of the team while you support, nurture and expand a high performance team of stunning colleagues. You will also make a broader impact by actively contributing to leadership forums and various engineering initiatives.

　　The team has a solid operational foundation and established best practices in many areas, and you will play a key role in defining what success looks like while using your expertise, metrics and data to further improve our operations. You’ll support our Privacy Programs by ensuring cross-functional alignment, identifying trends and addressing gaps. In this role you’ll bring clarity and focus to the team and our stakeholders in a fast-paced, ambiguous and rapidly changing environment.

　　Your Background:

　　You’ve been in a leadership role before and you know how to address the challenges of leading an inclusive Privacy Engineering team.

　　You’re proficient in privacy-enhancing technologies and privacy-by-design principles.

　　You use privacy risk assessments methods to quantify and prioritize complex privacy issues.

　　You are a strong subject matter expert in supporting products or businesses in various privacy topics such as data collection, storage, access, usage and deletion.

　　You have a proven track record of solving complex problems with technical, business, regulatory or organizational constraints.

　　You are an organized and effective communicator, including towards technical, executive and cross-functional audiences.

　　Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $180,000 - $900,000.
