JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking an experience program manager with a background in Personal Lines Property & Casualty Insurance to drive the strategic and tactical execution of a multi-year, large scale business transformation program for North America (NA) Personal Risk Services (PRS). The role will provide thought leadership and proven delivery experience in project management best practices, organizational change management, agile practices and user-centric design, process engineering, and program reporting and business case development.
Reporting into the NA, PRS Business Transformation Leader, this newly created role will support the Business Transformation program across Operations, Underwriting, Product, Pricing, Data & Analytics, and Digital in the delivery of business value and objectives via people, process, and technology initiatives.
The ideal candidate will be both a strategic though leader and have a proven track record of delivery of business value and execution-related skills for project management, organizational change management, business case development, agile practices, design-thinking, and dashboard and scorecard reporting of program health.
The successful candidate will represent the business, and act as a liaison between the business, our technology organization, system integrators (SI) and/or external partners by planning, conducting, and directing the analysis of highly complex business opportunities. She/he will provide leadership in identifying, evaluating, and developing strategic capabilities that are cost effective and position us to digitize and automate our service delivery and underwriting functions, improve our product and pricing speed to market, and drive operational efficiencies and data capabilities.
Requirements
Experience with large scale technology projects whose objectives center around delivery of business value.
Lead, develop, and manage a team of highly capable business-lead Execution Leads.
Engage with the business and functional units to support the establishment and ongoing development of strategic roadmaps e.g., the development of cost-benefit analyses related to new approaches, process improvements, automation efficiencies, data/vendor opportunities, and support the execution of the established roadmaps.
Consult and collaborate with Product Owners in the delivery of product backlogs, identification and resolution of program issues and risks, with a focus on continuous improvement from lessons learned, and best practices for the successful delivery of established scope.
Lead and own the change management strategy and plan, work with stakeholders in the execution of the change management plan.
Leverage implementation and program management best practices including change management, communication strategies, reporting and analytics, and program governance routines.
Serve as a coach for agile practices and mindset/culture shifts; bring a user-centered approach to the work; encourage outside-in thinking and leverage a data-driven and fact-based approach to analysis and decision making.
Work and interact with a broad spectrum of stakeholders, from executive to front-line, across multiple functional business areas (e.g., Underwriting, Operations, Product, Pricing, Data & Analytics) and outside the business (e.g., Finance, the Digital Transformation Office and multiple IT roles such as engineers, architects, Testing, Project Managers).
