Adecco Search is seeking an experienced and dynamic Accounting Manager to join our client's healthcare company's finance team. As the Accounting Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing the financial operations and ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of our financial reporting processes. Your expertise will contribute to strategic decision-making and drive financial success within our organization.
Responsibilities:
Financial Management: Lead the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes to support the company's strategic goals and operational needs. Monitor financial performance against established benchmarks and provide insightful analysis to the executive team.
Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and relevant regulatory requirements.
Internal Controls: Develop and implement robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and maintain the accuracy of financial records. Regularly assess and improve internal control procedures.
Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the finance team, including accountants and financial analysts. Provide guidance and support to ensure efficient and effective financial operations.
Audit and Compliance: Coordinate and manage external audits, working closely with auditors to facilitate a smooth audit process. Ensure compliance with tax regulations and other financial reporting requirements.
Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Provide actionable insights to senior management for strategic decision-making.
Cash Management: Monitor and manage cash flow, optimizing working capital and liquidity to support ongoing operations and growth initiatives.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks by developing risk management strategies and ensuring adequate insurance coverage.
Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and enhance financial processes, systems, and procedures to streamline operations, improve accuracy, and increase efficiency.
Collaboration: Collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as operations, human resources, and legal to provide financial expertise and support business initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA designation preferred.
7+ years of progressive experience in financial management and accounting, with a demonstrated track record of increasing responsibility.
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
Experience in the healthcare industry is highly desirable.
Prior experience in managing and leading a finance team.
Proficiency in financial software and systems; advanced Excel skills are essential.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across departments.
