The Manager, Integrated Analytics – Multiple Myeloma is responsible for leading the integration and execution of analytics which generate new business insights and uncover growth opportunities for brands within Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicines NA. This position will serve as an internal consultant to marketing and sales, and cross functional partners supporting: delivering actionable recommendations, shaping decision-making, and driving organizational action. The position plays a key role in advising the commercial team in the development and evaluation of new and existing business strategies and tactics and as a result, shares accountability for business results.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify, design, and execute integrated analytics informing brand strategy and tactical executiono Leverage disparate data sources to address key business questions and uncover business opportunities.
o Determine optimal analytical approaches and statistical methods, identify appropriate supplier partners, foster strong partnerships in the context of resources, timing, and overall project goals.
o Develop new insights and actionable recommendations and influence business partners at all levels to incorporate in decision making.
Evaluate business performance and identify actionable recommendations to improve future performance outcomes.o Identify, develop, and automate key performance metrics to measure and monitor performance.
o Serve as a leader in integrating data and analytics (national, subnational, payer) with cross functional findings and insights developed by peers across the Commercial Strategy & Operations team.
o Integrate research & medical insights into performance diagnostics & analytical projects to drive a holistic view of the customer and market.
o Exhibit strong partnership in the design, development, and execution of Sales Optimization, Targeting and Call Planning, Field Reporting, and Incentive Compensation.
o Leverage and manage external partners to support internal efforts, where appropriate.
Drive focus and innovation through objective analyses and the integration of insights enabling organizational decision making and action.o Champion the development and implementation of analytical approaches and methods that are innovative, drive efficiencies, and contribute to broader sharing of best practices.
o Demonstrate leadership courage in order to set boundaries and ensure time is spent on the most critical/ high value projects.
o Drive a culture of simplicity within the analytics function to ensure business processes are streamlined and partners are provided on-demand, actionable insights.
Qualifications
Education:
BA/BS Required; Advanced Degree Desirable
A minimum of 5 years of relative work experience
Experience and Skills:
Required:
Demonstrated success partnering across the commercial organization to translate analytics and insights into actionable recommendations
Experience shaping and influencing organizational decision-making
Strength in storytelling, data visualization, and developing effective presentations
Knowledge across a broad spectrum of analytic approaches and ability to identify appropriate approach to address key business questions
Strong learning agility and demonstrated success solving ambiguous business issues
Deep proficiency with the following applications (SQL, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Tableau)
Experience working with pharmaceutical data sources (including lab data, patient level claims data, IQVIA DDD & Xponent)
Preferred:
Ability to execute basic statistical methods such as Test and Control, Regression, etc
Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (model selection and hypothesis testing, statistical inference, promotional response modeling etc.) and experience with real-world applications
Knowledge of machine learning techniques (e.g. supervised, unsupervised, deep learning) and their real-world advantages and drawbacks
