  As Maintenance Mechanic, you repair and maintain machinery, equipment, building and facilities, applying your broad knowledge of maintenance skills including mechanical repair, plumbing, welding, carpentry, fabrication and sheet metal duct work.

  $2,000 Sign-on Bonus

  You will have the opportunity to:

  Troubleshoot and repair all aspects of equipment both mechanical, electrical and controls.

  Rebuild machines and overhaul troublesome components to include: dismantling, inspecting, or replacing of purchased parts.

  Perform skilled operations such as fitting and aligning bearings, spindles, and shafts.

  Install, repair, rebuild, maintain and relocate existing machines and equipment skills to include: dismantling, erection, leveling, fitting and aligning operations.

  Perform maintenance on the buildings, facilities, and the grounds, including lawn mowing and snow removal.

  Perform preventive maintenance on equipment including heating, ventilating, and air conditioning units.

  Research and purchase replacement parts and equipment services.

  REQUIREMENTS

  High school diploma or equivalent

  Knowledge of mechanical and electrical repairs, plumbing, hydraulics and controls.

  Minimum 4 years of maintenance mechanic experience.

  Ability to use an electrical measuring multimeter, properly test for power, check continuity of electrical circuits for machine operations, and perform maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment.

  The selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR).

  The candidate selected will have to qualify as either a U.S. citizen, a U.S. National, a lawful permanent resident of the U.S., a Person Admitted into the U.S. as an Asylee or Refugee., a National of a country that is not prohibited from having access to U.S. controlled technology (via a letter of assurance), or a Person to be approved for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction. Please understand that any job offer that requires approval of an export license will be conditional on Materion’s determination that it will be able to obtain an export license in a time frame consistent with Materion’s business requirements.
