Primary Purpose
Establishes goals for regional terminals and ensures processes are in place to meet and/or exceed goals
Makes terminal recommendations based on performance metrics, capacity analysis as well as asset and contractor utilization
Management and oversight of territory budget compliance
Collaborates with all groups within the Customer Operations department to provide high quality customer experience, support the commercial and operating strategies, and gain competitive advantage through technology-led proactive customer engagement, and efficient terminal, equipment, and specialized services
Management of NS variables and limitations within Lift Partner Performance Based Contracts
Develops and promotes a united vision for terminal managers to drive sub departmental goals
Keeps Director informed on regional metrics for their respective operating region and includes detailed changes between budgeted and actual results for upper management
Principal Duties
Directs standards for Operations Managers on all daily operations of terminals to include shift/daily planning, property management, and safety process audits
Compiles regional terminal analysis and provides insight into data driven results
Proactively collaborates with internal stakeholders on exception management and local operations projects to ensure no service interruptions occur
Oversees terminal development decisions by making data driven recommendations regarding capital projects and expenses
Communicates across Customer Operations groups real-time data on crucial movements to inform impacted partners across the network
Strategizes with external business partners (i.e. port point of contact, maintenance vendors, drayage partners) and internal customers (i.e. field operations police)
Uses experience to tailor customer communications and make autonomous decisions
Responsible for tactical capacity inventory management and strategic recommendations
