GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: * * Lead and mentor a team of carrier relationship professionals in day-to-day execution ensuring support for carrier network Strategy. * Develop and implement carrier sourcing practices meant to promote diversity among the organization's carrier networks. * Manage and maintain carrier scorecards, metrics, risk assessments and ESG scorecards, and compile information to a cohesive overview of a carrier for use during annual reviews. * Promote organizational policies and expectations governing the use of diverse carriers and lead and coach team in relationship management, sustainability, DEI, risk management, governance, and performance monitoring skills. * Establish and maintain ongoing carrier relationships and assist carriers in understanding and navigating the organization's purchasing process. * Manage the relationship with key/strategic carriers using relationship management techniques to deliver value for both the company and supplier. * Work with management to identify gaps in our carrier network and develop and execute strategies to fill those gaps. * Serve as escalation point for disputes between carriers and operations. Serve as primary point of contact for our carrier related technology partners, such as DAT, ITS, RMIS, etc. *EDUCATION:Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, or related field; combination of high school diploma or equivalent and relevant experience may be substituted. EXPERIENCE:8 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or supplier management including 3 years of relevant procurement experience and 3 years of experience in a supervisory or management capacity. Cross-functional experience or experience with project or program management. * * TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY:Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Advanced proficiency with Power BI and other reporting tools. Advanced proficiency with procurement systems and tools. * * COMPENTENCIES: Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal/external business partners. Ability to evaluate process effectiveness and develop changes or alternatives. Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously. Ability to mentor, coach, train and supervise employees. Ability to prepare, monitor and administer budgets, as well as the ability to perform financial analysis. Ability to function effectively with, or as part of a team. Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions. Knowledge of purchasing, procurement, budgeting, and administrative management. Knowledge of contract negotiation and administration as well as the ability to execute contracts in compliance with corporate guidelines. OTHER: Bilingual is a plus.
