About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior UX Researcher to join a new initiative within SciVal to work on novel ways of visualising data driven by AI. You will work in a squad with designers, product managers and developers who are all focussed on this new workstream. This role is also part of the wider UX group within Elsevier consisting of some 70 UX Researchers, Designers and Prototypers led by our VP of UX and will report to the Head of UX Research.
Responsibilities
Planning and conducting research projects to include contextual user interviews, concept value testing, usability testing of prototypes and early designs
Presenting research in an engaging way to different audiences
Be a thought partner for the product manager to progress ideation
Managing research participant recruitment to ensure feedback can be collected quickly and efficiently
Supporting Research Operations work, including maintaining our research repository
Requirements
Have a range of qualitative and quantitative research techniques and advanced analysis skills
Possess working experience with senior stakeholders to decide and plan a user research roadmap and communicate findings and recommendations
Be able to apply a range of methods such as contextual interviews and usability testing to suit the research question, project stage and timescales
Experience working collaboratively with colleagues in a wide range of roles and involving product teams and other stakeholders in the research process
Be able to use analytics data to triangulate research findings
Have working knowledge of AI tools
Have good experience of user research planning and execution
