Urbana, OH 43078 phone number +1 (937) 605-3339, is looking to fill two (2) Construction Laborer -- Excavators positions from 04.01.2024 to 10.31.2024. This is for full time, peak-load temporary employment. Duties include: As a construction laborer, worker will clean or prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards. Assist foreman with installing sewer, water, or storm drainpipes, using hand and power tools such as pipe-laying machinery or laser guidance equipment. Dig ditches or trenches using picks, shovels, and hoes. Perform some digging by hand, cutting, and gluing pipe, covering up water lines, clean equipment, and tools such as shovels and hoes. Worker will need to operate small equipment such as skid loader or excavator. Workers will be required to clean and maintain any tools used throughout the day. May clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces to support the sides of excavations, erect scaffolding, and clean up rubble, debris, and other waste materials. May assist other craft workers. Special requirements include: workers must possess at least three (3) months of construction experience. Workers must be able to pass a pre-employment and post- accident drug test. Workers must be able to read job prints.
The pay rate is $26.04 per hour with overtime available at $39.06 per hour, based on hourly rate. 40 hours per week from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday. Job opportunity is a temporary, full-time position. Daily travel to worksites in the area of intended employment is required. The requested temporary workers will be based at 2516 Church Road, Urbana, OH, 43078 and will service clients within the West Northwestern Ohio nonmetropolitan area; Springfield, OH; Columbus, OH BLS/MSA, including the counties of Auglaize County, Champaign County, Darke County, Defiance County, Hancock County, Hardin County, Henry County, Logan County, Mercer County, Paulding County, Preble County, Putnam County, Shelby County, Van Wert County, Williams County, Clark County, Madison County, Union County. Employer provides transportation to and from all worksites.
Single workweek will be used in computing wages due. Pay period is weekly. Employer will make all deductions from worker's paycheck required by law. Employer arranged housing is available at a weekly payroll deduction of $100.00. The offered housing is optional to workers. Transportation, including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging, to the place of employment will be provided, or its cost to workers reimbursed by a company check, separate from the payroll check, if the worker completes half of the employment period. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will arrange and pay directly for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back to home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. and reasonable common carrier for the distance involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $15.46 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts. Reimbursement in the first work week for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government, incurred by the H-2B worker (but not included passport expenses or other charges primarily for the benefit of the worker).
