What You Will Do :
We are currently searching for a Management Analyst. The position will independently provide support services to satisfy the overall operational objectives of the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH). This is a full time onsite opportunity located in Rockville, MD.
Support the NIMH Emergency Coordination Team; participate in meetings and communicate with NIMH Occupant Evacuation Coordinators (OEC’s), NIH Division of Emergency Management (DEM), NIMH/NIH Facility Emergency Manager and other NIMH and NIH offices and staff to obtain, synthesize and share information related to emergency preparedness and actual emergency events.
Work with NIMH EC team on planning and coordinating NIMH staff participation in NIH emergency preparedness drills.
Develop messaging templates for NIMH Alert system.
Maintain rosters of Occupant Evacuation Coordinators (OEC’s) and their teams.
Work with OEC’s to organize and schedule annual evacuation drills with NIH Rescue Services for buildings that house NIMH staff.
Identify opportunities for process and communication improvements related to evacuation drills and actual evacuation events in written reports to NIMH EC’s and OEC’s.
Prepare and disseminate training materials and resource materials to NIMH staff and trainees on emergency preparedness topics.
Coordinate, publicize and track annual training for CPR/AED/Basic First Aid certification for NIMH staff and trainees.
Draft SOPs and update information on the NIMH/NINDS Emergency Coordination Team SharePoint site.
Maintain rosters of NIMH, NINDS and NIH key staff who are assigned roles in facility and broader emergency events.
Produce analytical reports related to emergency preparedness data.
Participate in NIH DEM/IC EC meetings and other emergency preparedness-related meetings.
Monitor and maintain an inventory of emergency preparedness supplies and resource information at designated locations for immediate access by designated response staff.
Maintain and update shelter-in-place floor plans in building 49 and any other NIMH occupied building that does not have posted, current shelter-in-place plans, post signage at key locations in the building for occupant reference.
Provide after-hours coverage (weekends or nights) to assist the NIMH/NINDS Facility Emergency Manager during facility emergencies; report to the NIH campus to assist labs and ORF facility crew during facility emergencies, such as electrical power outages and building floods, to run extension cords to emergency power outlets and contact key lab personnel regarding the operation of their scientific equipment.
