Overall Purpose of Job – International Tax & Finance
Junior Analysts in the International tax & finance team will be involved in all aspects of the day to day work of the team.
Successful applicants will gain a valuable insight into how an International tax & finance department operates within a multinational group. This will provide you with an excellent basis for a future career in finance or tax.
Roles will closely support the International tax & finance team and will directly contribute to the performance of the team.
Principal Accountabilities
Provide extensive support to international tax team work. This work will involve liaising with the global finance teams.
Assisting quarterly and year end international tax accounting work, including the review of tax accounting information submitted from international group companies, enabling forecasts & analyses and utilising software for efficiencies.
Reviewing and summarising tax accounting information in SAP and PeopleSoft ERPs.
Assisting international tax & finance projects. This can involve project management, financial modelling and forecasting.
Responsible for calculating a range of intercompany transactions for multiple business segments on a regular recurring basis and ensuring these have been approved by local finance teams to be posted on relevant finance systems and providing relevant support files for reference.
Providing support to analyse and research any ad hoc international tax issues arising.
Candidate Requirements
Currently studying towards a degree in Economics/Finance/Accounting
Enthusiasm to work effectively as a part of a team.
Strong IT skills preferential, especially in Microsoft Excel, although training will be provided.
Excellent interpersonal communication and problem solving skills.
Flexible team member able to multi-task and act on initiative.
