About Senior Planning Coordinator

  Position: Senior Planning Coordinator

  Duties: This position assists the Planning Director in coordination andoperation of the Planning and Zoning Department. Assists with managing,coordinating and supervising all aspects of the Planning and ZoningDepartment regarding application and enforcement of zoning and subdivisionregulations, medical marijuana licensing and other land uses within theCounty. Ensures the prompt and efficient operation of the office, providesinformation, conducts thorough reviews and approves applications forsubdivisions as well as other land uses.Completes reviews and provides information on zoning regulations.Ensures efficient operation ofthe office and customer service is at its highest standard. Works with thePlanning Commission to establish regulations and policies to promote thehealth, safety, welfare, quality of life and protection of land valuesfor the citizens and properties within unincorporated Fremont County. Helpsdevelop long range land use goals, generates and implements policies andregulations to obtain those goals through communication with residents,officials and agencies, administration and enforcement of policies andregulations for the betterment of Fremont County.

  Requirements: Associate's Degree or equivalent from an accredited two-yearcollege or technical school in community planning; or one (1) to two(2) years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalentcombination of education and experience.Valid and current Colorado Driver's License.

  Wage: $25.75-$34.64 per hour. Paid bi-weekly.

  Shift: 40 hours per week. Discuss days and hours with employer.

  Job Site: Canon City, CO.
