Maintenance Worker Interested in joining our team of dedicatedprofessionals? Way Finders is currently seeking a full-time MaintenanceWorker (Maintenance Technician I) in our Housing Support Servicesprogram. The Maintenance Worker will complete and assist with apartmentturnovers, performing duties in units that are currently occupied orrecently vacated by homeless families in shelters. The candidate willwork fully onsite. A valid driver\'s license and reliable vehicle arerequired as regular travel in the region happens throughout the workday.Responsibilities include: Complete and provide assistance with apartmentturnovers: trash and furniture removal, cleaning (sometimes heavy),painting, screen replacement, smoke and carbon monoxide detectorinstallation, and minor repair work Accept furniture deliveries in atimely and professional manner, and set up furniture as needed; prepareunits with necessary miscellaneous items to welcome new families intoshelter Complete all work orders in a thorough and timely manner Assistwith property/building inspections Show apartments/buildings to variousinspectors and other officials, exterminators, and contractors asnecessary; work alongside external partners as required and appropriateReport challenging turnovers to management in a timely fashion andcollaborate on solutions, e.g. unemptied apartments, pest problems,abandoned pets Compete work order or repair documentation in a clear andtimely manner Properly document and report all maintenance issues andcode violations Manager supply procurement, including recordkeeping,inventory management, and tracking/reconciling store accounts Showapartments/buildings to various inspectors and other officials,exterminators, and contractors as necessary Perform all duties inaccordance with proscribed safety procedures, using appropriate orrequired personal protective equipment Develop and maintainprofessional, collaborative relationships with owners/landlords,tenants, inspection representatives, vendors, and other stakeholdersRequirements include: 2 years\' equivalent or related experience; a highschool diploma (or equivalent) may substitute for some experienceDemonstrated knowledge of building maintenance, cleaning processes(including deep cleanings), and performing simple mechanical repairsAbility to read and interpret work orders, instructions, and simplediagrams Ability to complete basic forms and write basic correspondencewhen necessary Experience using diverse hand tools, simple power tools,and measuring instruments Experience with Microsoft Office and othercomputer/phone applications, and comfort learning new technologiesAbility to work both independently and as a member of a teamDemonstrated attention-to-detail in work performed Bilingual(English/Spanish) skills preferred but not required Valid driver\'slicense with acceptable driving record; reliable vehicle CORI Benefitsinclude: Generous paid time-off \| 12+ holidays annually \| Health,dental, and vision insurance options \| Educational assistance \|Medical Reimbursement Account \| Dependent Care Account \| 403(b)retirement plan with employer match \| Life insurance \| Short-term andlong-term disability insurance \| Transportation benefits \| EmployeeAssistance Program \| Annual staff picnic!
