  Specification Manager, New Build – Central England

  Base salary of circa £50K subject to skills and experience, plus sales bonus, company car and other benefits to be discussed on application.

  Role Overview

  We are looking for a driven sales professional who is an expert at working in the field to deliver the New Build sales strategy of the organisation over a targeted territory of East and West Midlands, Hertfordshire and part of Mid Wales. It’s a crucial role to gain specifications and conversions to drive sales growth and profitability within a targeted housebuilder, contractor, and merchant network whilst delighting customers and optimising our competitive position!

  Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver a sales plan for the territory which prioritizes the National Developer groups. Maximise sales growth potential across the territory. Understand key customer strategies and develop sales plans to optimise our competitive position with those accounts. Align strategies and agree partnering objectives.

  • Achieve territory specification generation, pipeline, and conversion targets, recording project data through our C4C (CRM) system, tracking opportunities from creation to conversion (won / lost) and order placement.Report on competitor activity and market activity on a daily basis through the delivery of C4C reporting / ad-hoc feedback.

  • Deliver agreed business plans across key regional customers in defending core business and delivering new specification listings.

  • Work with Bid-Writer / Channel Manager to create compelling solutions which delight the customer whilst maximizing returns for the Kohler Mira business.

  • Identify and activate new business opportunities on territory within the New Build sector.

  • Deliver nationally and locally agreed sales plans through national and regional accounts. Communicate agreed activity through the designated contractor installation companies.

  • Develop and deliver effective journey plan to meet needs of business on territory, building a contact matrix reflecting key decision makers and influencers within designated housebuilders and their associated contractors.

  • Live the Kohler Mira Cultural Beliefs, focusing on customer delight and creating robust development plans aligned to career goals and progression through the sales competency matrix.

  • Create and maintain customer teardowns and annual action plans for all nominated Strategic Developers on territory. Demonstrate account knowledge through regular account workshops with the National Sales Manager and Channel Marketing Manager.

  • Regularly and consistently utilise Corporate Hospitality facilities, aligning key decision maker attendance to Kohler Mira hospitality and locally arranged events

  We are looking for

  •Experience in an external sales or field-based role, experienced in journey planning to include time overnight away (on average 1 overnight per week)

  • Business Acumen – Able to demonstrate an understanding of business profitability and the key variables / drivers to effectively make decisions to positively impact the business.

  -Proven Performance/Results Success, with examples of identifying how you have grown sales.

  -Negotiation expertise.

  -Ability to present data driven insights.

  •Customer Relationship Management:

  Comfortable working within a defined structure, with an eye for detail.

  Evidence of communication across multi levels.

  Excellent relationship builder.

  Evidence of collaborative relationships with senior external stakeholders.

  •Self Drive

  -Ambitious and highly motivated

  -Urgency to deliver objectives.

  -Prioritisation mindset.

  -Solution oriented.

  -Can do approach.

  • Clean, full UK driving license is required.

  Desirable experience, although not essential includes:

  -Experience working through a specification type role, with an understanding of the journey through key stakeholders and influencers to close the process.

  -Kitchen & Bathroom industry experience
