KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND JOB TASKS: *Read and write work orders todetermine machines and equipment requiring repair or maintenance. *Service, repair, adjust, and test machines, devices, and moving parts onall production equipment on a regular and as needed basis as determinedby work orders and at the direction of supervisors. * Troubleshootmechanical problems to find the best course of action for repairincluding inspecting or testing damaged machine parts, marking defectiveareas or advising supervisors of repair needs. * Assume responsibilityfor the proper maintenance, repair and use of all production equipment.* Observe production to identify work-arounds, and detect potentialproblems with equipment. * Perform routine maintenance on equipment anddetermine when and what kind of maintenance is needed both independentlyand at the direction of the Director of Facility & Maintenance. * Workcollaboratively and communicate with the team, and across multipleproduction shifts on repairs and equipment issues to limit equipmentdowntime, maintain equipment and ensure proper use of machines. *Assist with the documentation of repair or maintenance records. *Assist in maintaining inventories of materials, equipment, and products.* Order materials, supplies and equipment at the direction or approvalof supervisors and directors. * Provide coverage for emergency repairson a rotating basis with the other members of the maintenance team. *Follow all SQF practices and applicable regulatory requirements astrained and directed by management. REQUIRED SKILLS, ABILITIES ANDCOMPETENCIES * Strong troubleshooting skills to determine the cause ofoperating problems and deciding how to resolve them. * Advanced problemsensitivity to determine when something is wrong or likely to go wrongto flag existing or potential problems with equipment. * Soliddeductive and inductive reasoning to produce solutions that make sensefor the organization and situation. * Ability to multitask, andprioritize across various pieces of equipment to align with productiongoals and needs * Strong observational skills to assist in identifyingproblems before they occur. * Strong verbal and written communicationskills * Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail *Ability to work on a team, and collaborate with the Director ofMaintenance on organizational priorities * Willingness to work flexiblehours, including weekends and holidays REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE* 2-4 years of mechanical/ electrical maintenance technician experience* Experience in a food production setting a plus * High school diplomaor equivalent * Proven mechanical and electrical skills * Ability toread English and interpret technical manuals and schematics *Familiarity with industrial equipment such as conveyors, mixers, andpackaging machines * Working knowledge of Limble and or Wherefour is aplus WORKING CONDITIONS * Monday through Friday 6am-2pm with thepossibility for overtime, and occasional overtime and scheduled weekendhours * This position requires work to be conducted in a warehouse andbakery production environment where conditions can be extreme includingbut not limited to, heat, cold, loud noises and more * Requiresfrequent walking, standing, bending, kneeling, crouching and occasionalsitting * This job requires the ability to lift up to 100 pounds *Requires multi limb coordination, finger dexterity, manual dexterity andshort sightedness * This position might require flexibility toaccommodate the potential for a varying schedule, that could includeearly morning and late night work hours
