You will be responsible for assisting the Finance Manager in partnering with all business units to manage grant acquittals, deferred revenue, P&L reporting, forecasting and Balance Sheet Reconciliations. You are an effective communicator with interpersonal skills to influence colleagues, peers and external stakeholders.

What you will do
Partnering with Service Directors and Business Unit Managers to produce inciteful monthly Profit and Loss reporting including year-to-day commentary and forecasting year-end-position supported by relevant commentary to highlight financial risks
Lead and train staff in processes for accounting, purchasing, inventory/asset management and the management of budgets
Assist the Finance Manager with preparing company and cost centre budgets informed by analysis, benchmarking and forecasting
Assist the Finance Manger to ensure accounting policies and procedures are accurate and up to date
Timely and accurately assigned monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations with informative comments
Assist in the development of financial models, scenario plans and business cases as required
What you need to succeed
Experience in a similar role, ideally 5+ years
Relevant degree in finance/accounting with a CA/CPA qualification
Technical knowledge and skill in preparation & lodgement of FBT and BAS
Proven success in partnering with stakeholders, providing sound financial advice to inform decision making, leading to positive financial outcomes
Analytical skills to interpret and present accurate financial data suitable for the intended audience
Contributions to process improvement and system enhancement initiatives will be evident in your work history
Desirable
Understanding and application of various risk assessment methodologies and tools
Demonstrated experience in risk management.
