SUMMARY: The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for providing efficient and effective guidance and broad supervision of all staff in the Facility Services Department in the Maintenance area. Will coordinate functions, activities, schedules, solve procedural problems and be required to make independent decisions concerning emergency situations.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, developing, training, and retaining employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. .
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or equivalent education required.
Some college preferred but not required.
At least 2 years of general maintenance experience, 2 years of supervision and / or an acceptable equivalent combination of experiences required.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, and/or REGISTRATIONS:
This position requires a valid driver’s license and that the employee is insurable by the Avera Health automobile liability insurance carrier.
Work Schedule
Monday-Friday, 6:00am-3:00pm; 80hrs/2wks
