Aerotek is currently hiring for maintenance supervisors in the greater Hyattsville, MD area! Qualified candidates will be able to perform the following duties:
Job Description:
The Maintenance Supervisor serves as the key technical resource for the production maintenance operation focusing on preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and problem resolution of all processing equipment systems. This position also plays a key role in continuous improvement efforts
Organizing and facilitating the maintenance of all production equipment in order to maximize equipment uptime and to resolve quality and production related issues with an emphasis on continuous improvement, including electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical troubleshooting
Improving the effectiveness of the maintenance function by driving solutions to reduce equipment downtime and increase OEE
Supervising a crew of (10) ten or more employees, including interviewing, hiring, training, assigning and directing work, performance evaluation, recognition and disciplining, addressing complaints and resolving problems
Driving improvements in the preventive maintenance and work order program using our computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). Manage and report on Maintenance KPIs
Target actions to drive improvements in these areas
Managing procurement of parts and services while identifying and implementing cost savings projects in these areas
Reviewing and assessing downtime data using LEAN / Continuous Improvement methodology for Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and improvement through Red Zone
Proactively championing technical issues and see them through to completion
Implementing 5S in the maintenance shop and support the program throughout the production area
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Supervisory experience in a maintenance department in a manufacturing setting
Experience operating Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) required
Experience with Lean and 5S programs preferred
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, parts diagrams and electrical schematic drawings
