We are looking for experienced, innovative and motivated IT Specialists to support enablement US AFRICOM’s mission objectives.
What You’ll Get to Do:
CACI has an excellent opportunity for an experienced, self-directed, Lead Project Manager . This position is in support of a Department of Defense (DoD) organization, USAFRICOM located OCONUS in Stuttgart, Germany. This position is required to travel OCONUS.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Project Leadership:
Provide strategic leadership in the planning, execution, and delivery of critical IT projects.
Collaborate with senior management to align IT projects with organizational goals and objectives.
Drive the development and implementation of IT project management best practices.
Team Management and Development:
Lead and mentor a team of IT Project Managers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide guidance for professional development.
Coordinate with HR to recruit and onboard top talent to strengthen the project management team.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including executives, department heads, and external partners.
Ensure effective communication and collaboration between project teams and stakeholders.
Present project updates and recommendations to senior management and executive teams.
Program Management:
Oversee multiple concurrent IT projects, ensuring alignment with overall program objectives.
Develop and maintain program timelines, budgets, and resource plans.
Implement program governance and reporting structures to provide transparency and accountability.
Risk Management and Continuous Improvement:
Proactively identify and manage project and program risks, implementing mitigation and contingency plans.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in project management processes and methodologies.
Conduct post-project evaluations to capture lessons learned and enhance future project outcomes.
Qualifications:
BA/BS + 7 years recent specialized or AA/AS + 9 years recent specialized or a major cert + 11 years recent specialized or 13 years of recent specialized experience
Active Secret clearance (no waiver) witb ability ot obtain and maintaining TS/SCI
Proven experience as a Project Manager, with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficient in project management tools and methodologies.
