Position Overview:
This position exists to provide the plant with an updated inventory of all maintenance parts within the facility while performing basic day to day clerical duties for the maintenance department.
Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities:
Input complete and accurate purchase order information into computer: produce inventory reports and purchase orders. Move inventory when required.
Keep track of purchasing and contact vendors concerning disposition of delayed purchases. Expedite orders with vendors as directed.
Maintain records on purchase requisitions, order numbers, etc.
Handle filing, faxing and typing of occasional correspondence for department, as directed.
All parts inventory used for maintenance of plant equipment is kept accurate and up to date on a daily basis.
Education Requirements:
High School or GED
Related Work Experience:
Position responsibilities are generally routine. Only occasional independent decisions will need to be made. Need to possess the ability to pull together all resources available to ensure prompt delivery of parts.
Functional Skills:
C omputer skills with spreadsheet and word processing, required.
Basic reading, writing, math skills
