Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

In this role, the Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for ensuring the safety and health of themselves and the team working in the surrounding area. They will participate in all safety activities and support and maintain ISO 9001 activities, ensuring that required processes are maintained. The Maintenance Mechanic will also be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and generally fabricating and installing machines, tools, and equipment. Additionally, they will maintain the facility, grounds, and utility systems, work with management to maintain wastewater and other facility systems, ensuring environmental and regulatory compliance, and participate in preventative maintenance programs on parts inventory, machinery, tools, and equipment. They will also maintain and repair machinery, mechanical equipment, motors, and perform other duties as requested.

Responsibilities

Ensure safety and health of self and team working in the surrounding area.

Participate in all safety activities.

Support and maintain ISO 9001 activities and ensure required processes are maintained.

Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and general fabrication and installation of machines, tools, and equipment.

Maintain facility, grounds, and utility systems.

Work with management to maintain wastewater and other facility systems, ensuring environmental and regulatory compliance.

Participate in preventative maintenance programs on parts inventory, machinery, tools, and equipment.

Maintain and repair machinery, mechanical equipment, and motors according to diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer’s specifications.

Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested.

Additional Skills Qualifications

A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years' experience in a manufacturing environment.

Skilled in mechanical, troubleshooting, and electrical aspects in a manufacturing environment.

Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively; interpret and apply safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, diagrams, and regulatory requirements.

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence; communicate effectively before a group, in teams, to co-workers, customers, and vendors.

Ability to make accurate calculations and apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Ability to solve practical problems dealing with a variety of concrete variables in situations.

Proficient in computer software (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Ability to work independently and as a team player.

Ability to operate various office machines.

Ability to write routine emails and correspondence.

Work Environment

The work environment is non-climate controlled, requiring adaptability to varying temperatures and conditions.

Job Type Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Prairie, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hr.

Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
