A Day in the Life
As part of Medtronic’s PDBMF Maintenance team located in North Haven, CT, the Maintenance Coordinator III will be a key member supporting our Maintenance facility on the 1st shift, 5 days a week Monday-Friday . The coordinator’s primary function is to increase productivity and efficiency by planning and scheduling materials and human resources. By managing / scheduling parts, materials, human resources, and equipment assets the coordinator will improve both the equipment availability to production as well as customer service. The coordinator will also be the liaison between Production, Engineering and Maintenance; the coordinator is responsible for planning, scheduling and coordination of all scheduled work performed within PDBMF. The coordinator is also responsible for maintaining records and files essential to maintenance operations.

A Day in the Life
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
Maintains schedules for material requirements and availability for the manufacture of industrial and commercial products to support production control.
Compiles records concerning quantity, cost, and type of material received, shipped, in stock or inventory, and/or in production.
Expedites flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules.
Assists in determining possible and actual shortages.
May initiate action to correct these deficiencies.
Uses knowledge of production, procurement, and engineering departments to alert proper authorities regarding potential problems and appropriate remedial action.
Estimates and logs production rate and time expenditures and may be required to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates.
Receive all planned work requests to the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) from manufacturing, engineering, and maintenance personnel and record them as backlog work
Ensure all project work is accompanied by the appropriate documentation including bill of materials, drawings, specifications, instructions and any other pertinent data required to perform the task
Review jobs with supervisor for job approval (manpower, overtime, funding)
Review jobs with Lead technicians to ensure their understanding of the scope of work and that they have the required resources
Kit parts required for all planned work from Central Stores receiving or stock prior to job and coordinate parts availability with the scheduling of work
Order parts from supplied bill of materials for project work and coordinate job scheduling based on their arrival
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
Minimum of 4 years of experience of relevant experience and may require vocational or technical education or certification in addition to prior work experienceNice to Have
Detail oriented, must possess good organizational skills
Ability to follow departmental and safety procedures
Must have excellent computer skills particularly with Microsoft Office and a recognized CMMS
Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, in the English language, and use a telephone extensively
Must be familiar with maintenance practices and procedures
