Department: MAKE Asset Management (MAM) organization
The MAM organization operates as one integrated team in the delivery of Engineering, Maintenance and Execution Systems activities. This occurs in a standard, coordinated and consistent manner in support of the current and future requirements of our Manufacturing & Technical Organization (MTO) and in conjunction with key partners, to create one integrated internal/external network.
The role:
Manages team of technicians, Maintenance &Reliability Engineers and Qualification Engineers. Owns the equipment reliability and quality metrics improvement. Manages the allocation of technicians in collaboration with the scheduler.
Responsibilities also include; Subject Matter Expertise (SME) on equipment maintenance operational execution (corrective, preventive, predictive maintenance). Also expertise on Reliability metrics, root cause analyse and spare parts management
Provides maintenance supervision support to the Maintenance & Reliability Department. Working closely with manufacturing, the maintenance & reliability area lead will form part of the overall site goal of maximizing asset performance.
Primary responsibility for leading maintenance, repairs, and operational improvements, with a strong hands-on mentality, of all equipment and machinery of the manufacturing systems in your area and supervises personnel performing these functions. Complies with safety and environmental regulations to ensure execution, compliance, and proper reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Owns the Reliability metrics of UpTime, Mean Time to Repair, Mean Time Between Failures. Ensures the preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance is performed in the areas of responsibility to maintain them in good functioning to comply with production requirements. Ensures the repair, installation, and maintenance of equipment are conducted according to the established requirements and in compliance with applicable regulations. Supervises in-House and subcontracted jobs.
Ensures that maintenance and calibration technicians are trained to execute forecasted planned/ corrective/emergency/calibration/ predictive maintenance and project support for assigned assets.
Owns the equipment related quality metrics and manages the Maintenance & Reliability Engineers (and internal or external Qualification Engineer support) to ensure installed equipment maintains qualified status. Also supports as spokesperson during Audits and Health Authorities inspections.
Manages the Maintenance Engineer(s) ensuring Predictive maintenance deliverables are met, through spare parts management and maximization of UpTime.
Ensures new equipment meets reliability targets.
Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Maintenance and Reliability processes.
Ensures training adherence of personnel in the area of responsibility according to training profile, maintenance and repair of the equipment used in the operation, and keeps them updated on technological changes. Work with BU Maintenance & Reliability lead to develop skill gap assessments and training/development plans for all maintenance staff. Drive execution of development plan for each report.
Qualifications
Education:
Degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, and Chemical) required.
3 years of experience working in Reliability, Maintenance of equipment or Utilities, Equipment Engineering, and/or Process engineer in a GMP product manufacturing plant environment.
And/Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience and Skills
Strong leadership and drive to deliver results.
Communication skills written and oral.Good knowledge of Reliability principles and KPIs calculation and improvementAbility to focus tactically/operationally while maintaining sight on strategic impact.
Very good understanding of compliance requirements.
People management skills.
Ability to work in a team environment of professionals with diverse skills and competencies.
Ability to adopt and deploy best practices
Expertise in Customer Relationship Management.
Ability/experience in managing an outsourced staff.
Expertise with Microsoft application. An advantage is knowledge of CMMS system, Power BI or other data visualization tools, data trending tools.

Troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment and effective operation of manufacturing systems.
Establishes a high performance and continuous improvement culture driven by key performance metrics, benchmarking and sharing of best practices.
Expertise with RCA (root cause analyses)
