A Typical Day
Electrical repair and upkeep of all plant electrical equipment,processes and Facilites in the areas of the cheese plants, milkreceiving, whey plants, water treatment, and permeate plant. Repair,calibrate, troubleshoot and maintain all plant control systems andelectronic peripheral devices of Hilmar Cheese Company.
Job Responsibilities
Basic understanding of ladder logic and programming fundamentals.
Ongoing support of Operations and Maintenance Teams for their specificControl Systems, service needs.
Maintain documentation for all Control Systems and electrical schematicsfor Production Plants.
Assist engineering/maintenance in project checkouts during commissioningof new equipment.
Knowledge of single loop control instruments.
Assist in repair calibration of all peripheral electrical and electronicequipment to include thermal, ink jet, and direct thermal printers,motion and static scales in all plants to maximize effectiveness andquality of repaired equipment.
Assist in calibration of all instruments, to include flow, temperature,pressure, metal detection and analytical; document calibration data.
Troubleshooting of all PLC and control issues.
Understanding of AC and DC variable speed drives.
Able to troubleshoot and repair 480/277v, 240/120v, and 24v circuits.
Communicate in a team environment.
Properly prioritize issues and take personal accountability to make sureall repairs fit the core value of excellence

Must be willing and able to participate in departmental skills trainingprogram to achieve pay grade as outlined
Prioritize safety above all other job duties by having a safety firstapproach at all times.
Report any safety issues, observations, opportunities to your teams andfollow up.
Participate in departmental safety teams.
Be part of the ERT team for the site.
Maintain a positive attitude and promote company culture.
What You Will Need
English skills must be proficient to understand, read, write and speakEnglish
High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution
1 year industrial maintenance expe ience
Working knowledge of E&I instruments, i.e. heart, fluke, megger, hy-potetc
Ability to read one line drawings
