Our client, a leader in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a Machine Operator to join their team. As a Machine Operator, you will be part of the production team supporting operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to troubleshooting, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Machine Operator - 2nd shift
Location: Sterrett, AL
Pay Range: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
What's the Job?
Operate Maintain Equipment: Ensure machines run efficiently and stay in top condition.
Monitor Adjust: Make necessary adjustments to meet production goals and quality standards.
Routine Maintenance: Clean, lubricate, and maintain machines regularly.
Troubleshooting: Identify issues and report them to minimize downtime.
Quality Control: Inspect lumber, ensuring it meets specifications.
What's Needed?
Ability to read a tape measure accurately (to 1/16 inch or millimeter).
Familiarity with tools like calipers, micrometers, or gauges (a plus).
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
Strong mechanical skills and troubleshooting ability.
1-2 years of experience in a sawmill or manufacturing environment (preferred).
