　　What’s a typical day as a Machine Operator? You’ll be:

　　• Operating steel fabricating machinery to machine materials to specifications.

　　• Setting up, adjusting, and operating basic or specialized machine tools.

　　• Aligning and securing holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, or materials onto machines.

　　• Monitoring the feed and speed of machines during the machining process.

　　• Maintaining machines in proper operational condition.

　　• Studying blueprints, drawings, or engineering information to determine methods or sequences of operations needed to fabricate materials.

　　• Laying out, measuring, and marking metal stock to display placement of cuts.

　　• Disposing of scrap material in accordance with company policies and environmental regulations.

　　This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

　　• Have previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience in machine operation.

　　• Have one or two years of training involving both on-the-job experience and informal training with experienced workers.

　　• Have proficient communication and organizational skills.

　　• Have a high school diploma or GED.

　　Must have at least 6 months of knowledge or experience using a Overhead Crane
