Position Overview:
The Radiologic Technologist coordinates and performs a wide variety of quality diagnostic radiographic examinations and may assist in the performance of procedures. The Technologist must possess and demonstrate knowledge of the following: anatomy/physiology, radiation safety, radiographic equipment operation, safe patient transfers and positioning techniques, and ethical and professional conduct. The Technologist ensures accurate documentation, effective communications and demonstrates knowledge of age-appropriate criteria when working with all patients, which include high risk and critically ill patients. Responsible for accurate charge capture.
Population served includes neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatrics.

EDUCATION
Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
Other: Graduation from a Joint Commission-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE
ARRT - Radiography - American Register of Radiologic Technologists Upon Hire
CRT-Certified Radiologic Technologist Upon Hire
RHF-Radiology Fluoroscopy within 180 Days of hire
BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider Upon Hire
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN:
Previous experience as a Registered Radiologic Technologist is desirable. (department based)
Prior work experience in an acute care facility is preferable. (department based)
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Must be knowledgeable of technical factors and radiographic views.
Demonstrates proficiency with multiple computerized systems.
Demonstrates proficiency when working with picture archiving and communicating systems (PACS) to transmit, archive, and retrieve digital images.
Demonstrates knowledge of and complies with all Federal, State, and local regulatory requirements.

Pay Range is $55.85 to $70.13 / hour
The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.
