Responsibilities
Be responsible for the sampling execution and optimization of the compression molding process
Work with core engineering team on part design and understand product requirements and be able to tranfer these requirements to our manufacturing process
Interpretation of test results that lead to actions and modifications as required to ensure that all necessary parts for samplings for the customer are available in spec and on time
Support the Industrialization Manager/Engineer in defining appropriate sampling objectives, schedules and milestones
Escalate potential issues and roadblocks as early as possible to the Technology Manager
Ensure proper documentation of process parameter and sampling results (e.g. process book).
Prepare and participate in tooling and equipment kick-offs, sign-offs, and after action reviews per standard process and procedures.
Evaluate, debug, and implement solutions to compression molding issues as requested by other cross-functional work teams in the Americas and ensure lessons learned are captured and read across to tooling and process set up.
Ensure all compression molding in the plants are set up according to processing standards and basics.
Promote the observation and improvement of all safety, quality, and corporate standards and procedures
Lead the training of Setup Technicians & Process Technicians
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of work experience in Compression Molding process and tool design.
University Degree in Manufacturing Engineering preferred.
Detailed knowledge of fiber composite materials
Experience with pneumatic, hydraulic and electric systems preferred
Knowledge of MS office
Lean tools, 6S, A3, PDCA, TPM
Fluent English skills written and spoken
