　　Summary

　　The overall purpose of this position, i.e., what it accomplishes at Perdue and/or why it exists is: Weekly data input from all flocks into Mtech, key in chick flock charges and update new house guarantee updates in Live Bird system and farm input data for M-tech. Process purchase orders for Yadkinville Breeder Area. The essential purpose of the Receptionist/Switchboard operator is to greet and direct visitors, answer and direct phone calls and messages to the proper person, file and type letters and other business correspondence for Live Production manager. Must generate power point presentations, pull various weekly reports to support the Director of Live Production and Live Production manager. The key person on M-tech reports and training of other associates in M-tech. Serve as back up for other positions.

　　Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

　　Handle various reports and support needed by the Director of Live Production...

　　Review and analyze purchase orders for the Yadkinville Breeder Area and complete the receiving in AP.

　　Understand the phone system to be able to handle incoming calls, set up conference calls, handle travel arrangements that are needed for the Live Side.

　　Be able to communicate by phone in a professional manner.

　　Be able to handle the various functions involving M-tech reports, training of associates.

　　Be able to type, use calculator, copier, computer programs, Excel, M-tech, and others that are needed in the normal business.

　　Minimum Education

　　High School Diploma or equivalent preferred with reading, writing, typing, Basic business math, communication and analytical skills required.

　　Experience Preferred

　　1 year - Knowledge and experience with Excel spreadsheets, Microsoft Word, Power Point applications and other automated systems.

　　Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

　　Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings. 2. May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another. 3. May need to access files, supplies and equipment. 4. Work activity is in an office, open-partitioned, cubicle environment. 5. When in a plant environment: Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces. May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity. May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit. May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db. May be exposed to all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facility.
