Pay: This is a full time hourly/non-exempt position with an hourly pay range $25.00-$35.00. Pay may vary depending on your location, skills, and experience.
Location/Travel Requirements: Willing and able to work long hours and overtime during emergencies (including holidays, weekends, etc. Subject to call out work).
Job Summary
Work will consist of service, maintaining, repairing, rebuilding or overhaul major assemblies of internal combustion automobiles, diesel trucks, and miscellaneous equipment.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on all motorized equipment and vehicles.
Diagnoses the source of trouble and determines the extent of necessary repairs.
Keeps all materials, tools and equipment in an orderly fashion and maintains a clean work area at all times.
Demonstrates safe work habits and proper care for tools and equipment.
Qualifications & Skills
Required:
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Valid Driver's License.
Experience or schooling in mechanics
Preferred:
Mechanical knowledge: 5 years
Diesel engine repair: 4 years
Mechanical — Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
Repairing — Repairing machines or systems using the needed tools
Troubleshooting — Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it.
Equipment Maintenance — Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
Operation Monitoring — Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
Operation and Control — Controlling operations of equipment or systems.
Experience with light and medium duty trucks, skid steers, mini-ex, and air compressors.
Pre-screen: Upon offer, employees will be required to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, background, and/or MVR check.
