　　Summary:

　　Performs patient care, health teaching and health counseling in an oncology setting, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN); assists in the goal of individualizing the care of patients in an attempt to support the patients to adapt to the disease process and achieve the highest level of wellness; performs routine nursing care procedures; screens, performs venipuncture and monitors plateletpheresis and whole blood donor procedures; maintains donor and product safety ensuring compliance with State and Federal procedure regulations; enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings and workshops.

　　Salary range for this position is $53,347 annually - $64,330 annually which consists of a base salary and geographic differential. This includes a comprehensive benefits package.

　　License Requirement

　　License or permit to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of New York.

　　Education and Experience

　　Graduation from an accredited practical nursing school's LPN program.

　　NOTE:

　　Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.

　　Preferred Qualifications:

　　The preferred candidate will have prior experience working as a LPN in a primary care or occupational health setting. The preferred candidate will have prior experience working with community health. The preferred candidate will have experience with immunization schedules and administering vaccines. The preferred candidate will have experience working in a team environment.
